Bugling Bull Elk
Dec4bugler
December 4, 2007
This is a bigger study of a bugling bull elk that I
had done a smaller version of a few months ago.
I am looking for the right pose to use in a big
painting with a harem(cows).
I used black and white acrylic gesso to underpaint
the entire canvas, then used thin acrylic glazes to
set the underpainting. Then I finished it using
alkyd oil paint.
Probably about 12 hours total.
Listed on Ebay.
